I’m Annie, a Fashion Design Graduate based in London.

I am experienced and skilled in creative methods of design such as draping, collage, experimental and technical drawing. I particularly adore and thrive within the problem solving nature and precision of pattern cutting, as well as sewing on industrial machines. I have always been motivated within the design process to create sustainably, utilising second-hand or deadstock materials throughout. Re-inventing the disused and creating sustainably is what excites me within fashion and played a huge role in my Final Major Project. I am digitally proficient, and confident in utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to strongly communicate vision and style.

Having gained experience as a showroom intern and fashion retail assistant, I was provided with a deeper commercial awareness and learnt the significance of communication, rapport, responsibility and organisation. I am also grateful to have had the invaluable opportunity to showcase my graduate collection, “Retraditionalisation” at Graduate Fashion Week. Although students could not attend due to the pandemic, I was still able to gain an insight into the collaborative and pressurised nature of the industry process from design to catwalk.

I have learnt so much from university, and take with me many lessons from my experience. I leave it a more confident designer, ready to tackle future projects and ventures. I am enthusiastic, diligent and creative with a strong attention to detail, eager to learn and absorb as much as I can from the inside of the industry.
