For this Year 2 project, I looked back over the areas I have once called home and explored how they have transitioned from the city into the countryside. I found inspiration in studying the comparison between the artificial and the natural architecture of my surroundings. From views of skyscrapers to views of trees, these two monumental pillars of society have both shaped me and equally felt like home. With this collection, I aimed to combine these two opposing environments by analysing the qualities that makes them vastly different and also exploring their parallels and conveying these findings through my drapes and fabrications.
